Hanging and caring for your tiles

What tile styles can I choose from?

Choose from framed, frameless, canvas, and glass photo tiles. Framed tiles offer a classic look, frameless tiles keep things simple, canvas adds a soft, woven texture, and glass gives your photos a glossy finish.

What are HappyTiles made of?

Framed tiles: Lightweight MDF (medium-density fiberboard) tiles with your photo and a surrounding frame.

Frameless tiles: Edge-to-edge prints mounted on lightweight, high-density EVA foam board for a clean, borderless look.

Canvas tiles: Your photo is printed on artist-grade canvas and stretched by hand over a wood frame. A rigid black backing board protects the canvas from behind and supports the magnetic mounting system.

Glass tiles: Your photo is printed directly onto 1.1 mm tempered glass. It’s thin and lightweight yet durable, with a smooth, sleek feel similar to a smartphone screen.

What sizes are available?

Sizes vary by tile style. All measurements are in inches and refer to the tile’s outer dimensions.

Framed: 8.5 × 8.5, 8 × 11, 12 × 12, 12 × 16, 20 × 20, 20 × 27, 27 × 36, and 22 × 44.

Frameless: 8.5 × 8.5, 8 × 11, 12 × 12, 12 × 16, and 20 × 20.

Canvas: 8 × 8, 11 × 14, 12 × 12, 12 × 16, 20 × 20, 18 × 24, 24 × 32, and 20 × 40.

Glass: 8 × 8, 8 × 11, 11 × 8, and 12 × 12.

What frame finishes can I choose from?

Our framed photo tiles come in black, white, oak, and walnut finishes. Choose one finish for a coordinated look, or mix a few to make your wall your own.

Can I mix different sizes and styles in one order?

Absolutely. Combine sizes, frame finishes, and tile styles in a single order. Create a matching grid or mix different shapes and textures for a more personal arrangement.

How much do HappyTiles cost?

Prices depend on the tile size, style, and current offers. You’ll see the price for your selections in the photo builder before you check out.

Do the tiles have glass or acrylic covers?

Framed and frameless photo tiles have a matte finish without a glass or acrylic cover. Canvas tiles have an uncovered, matte woven surface. Glass photo tiles are a separate style, with your photo printed directly onto the glass.

Do glass photo tiles sit flush against the wall?

Each glass photo tile has a 5 mm foam backing that creates a small gap between the glass and the wall, giving your photos a subtle floating effect.

How deep are canvas photo tiles?

All our canvas photo tiles are 0.75 inches deep, whichever size you choose. This gives your prints dimension and a consistent look when you combine different sizes.

Does my photo wrap around the edges of a canvas tile?

Yes. Your photo continues around the sides of the canvas for a seamless finish. Keep faces, text, and other important details away from the outer edges so they stay visible on the front.

Will the colors on glass or canvas tiles fade over time?

Glass tiles: No. We print your photo beneath the glass using archival inks, so the colors stay vibrant without fading over time.

Canvas tiles: We use fade-resistant archival inks and a UV-protective coating to help your photos stay vibrant for years.

How do I know if my photo will print clearly?

Our photo editor checks your image’s resolution when you upload it. If it’s too low for your chosen size, you’ll see a warning so you can choose a higher-quality image or a smaller tile.

For the best results, upload a sharp original photo. Screenshots and compressed social media images may look soft or pixelated, especially at larger sizes.

Can I change the photo inside a tile later?

Each tile is made with your photo permanently in place, so the image can’t be swapped out. You can order a new tile whenever you want to add a memory or refresh your photo wall.

What image formats can I upload?

You can upload JPEG (JPG), PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIF, TIFF, BMP, SVG, and AVIF files. If a file won’t upload, try saving a copy as a JPG or PNG.

How do I place an order?

  1. Visit shop.happytiles.com on your phone or computer.
  2. Choose your tile style, size, and frame finish, where applicable.
  3. Upload your favorite photos.
  4. Crop and position each photo, then check the preview.
  5. Continue to checkout to complete your order.

Do I need a subscription?

No. You only pay for the orders you place, with no monthly or annual subscription fees.

Do I need an account to order?

No. You can check out without creating an account or setting a password.

Can I save my progress and come back later?

Yes. Your progress and uploaded photos are saved in your browser, even without an account. Return on the same device and browser to pick up where you left off. Clearing your browser data will erase your saved progress.

How do I remove a photo from my order?

Tap or click the photo in the editor or cart, then select the Delete icon. Repeat for any other photos you want to remove.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as PayPal. All prices are in US dollars.

What should I do if the editor freezes or my photos won’t upload?

Give large, high-resolution photos a little extra time to load. If the upload still fails, check that your file uses a supported format or save a copy as a JPG or PNG.

You can also try an Incognito or Private browser window. Your saved progress may not appear there, so keep your original window open.

If you’re still having trouble, email support@happytiles.com with a screenshot or screen recording so we can help.

How do I apply a promo code?

Enter your code in the promo code box, then select Apply.

How do promo codes and bundle discounts work?

Promo codes offer bundle pricing when all tiles are the same size and style. If you mix sizes or styles, the code applies a percentage discount instead.

Promo codes can’t be combined with automatic sitewide bundle discounts. The site automatically applies the best available offer for your cart. If a code isn’t working as expected, email support@happytiles.com.

Do you offer digital gift cards?

Yes. Digital gift cards are delivered instantly by email. You can also schedule delivery at checkout for a birthday or another special occasion.

Will the package include prices or an invoice?

No. We leave prices, receipts, and invoices out of the package, so you can send HappyTiles directly to someone as a gift.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Custom printing starts quickly. Cancellations can only be processed within 15 minutes of placing your order, and delivery address updates can be made within 2 hours. Email support@happytiles.com immediately if you need either change.

What if I’m not happy with my tiles?

We want you to love your photos. Our 100% Happiness Guarantee covers tiles that arrive damaged or defective, with a replacement set sent free of charge.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, email support@happytiles.com with your order details and a photo or short video showing the issue. Our team will prioritize your replacement and put it into production right away.

Because every tile is custom-printed with your photos, we can’t accept returns or issue cash refunds if you change your mind.

Where is my order confirmation email?

Your confirmation email is sent automatically within 10 minutes. If you don’t see it:

Check Spam, Junk, and Promotions, and search for “Happytiles.”

Check any other email address you may have used at checkout, including the one linked to your payment account.

If you entered the wrong email address, email support@happytiles.com with your name and delivery address. We’ll find your order and update your email.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Production takes 1–3 business days, followed by 3–5 business days for standard shipping. Please allow time for both when planning your order.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. All orders include free standard shipping. Expedited shipping is also available at checkout if you need your tiles sooner.

Do you ship to P.O. Boxes, military addresses, or Canada?

Yes. We ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO/DPO military addresses, and Canada. Canadian shipments may take a few extra days to clear customs.

How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, we’ll email you a UPS or USPS tracking link so you can follow its delivery. You can also visit the Track my Order page.

How do I hang my photo tiles?

Start by wiping the wall with a dry cloth to remove dust. The next steps depend on your tile’s mounting system.

Magnetic mounts, including canvas tiles: Peel off the mount’s protective liner, press the mount onto the wall, and snap your tile into place.

Peel-and-stick backing, including glass tiles: Peel off the protective liner, position your tile, and press it firmly onto the wall.

No nails, drilling, or tools needed.

How do I remove or reposition my tiles?

Magnetic tiles: Lift the tile off its magnetic mount. You can attach it again to the same mount; moving it to a different spot on the wall also means relocating the adhesive mount. Remove the mount slowly and carefully.

Peel-and-stick tiles: Hold the tile by its bottom corners and slowly peel it upward and away from the wall in one steady motion. Handle glass tiles with care as you remove and reposition them.

What if the adhesive loses its stickiness?

Email support@happytiles.com and we’ll send you replacement adhesive mounting strips free of charge.

Will HappyTiles damage my walls?

Our adhesive pads and magnetic mounts are designed to be gentle on suitable surfaces, including painted drywall, glass, and smooth wood. Remove the adhesive slowly and carefully to help protect your paint and avoid residue.

What wall surfaces can I use?

Happytiles are designed for a range of surfaces, including painted drywall, smooth or textured walls, wood, glass, plaster, brick, tile, and metal. If you’re unsure about your wall’s surface, contact support@happytiles.com before hanging your tiles.

How do I clean my photo tiles?

Framed and frameless tiles: Dust gently with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or feather duster.

Canvas tiles: Gently dust the canvas with a soft, dry cloth, using a light touch on the printed surface. Keep water and cleaning sprays away from the fabric.

Glass tiles: Gently wipe the glass with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive materials, and keep the printed backing and adhesive dry.
